Trip program
D1: Meet in Kathmandu, hotel in Thamel.
D2: Free day in Kathmandu where you may visit the historical places: Durbar Square, Swayambunath, Pashupatinath, Patan, Baktapur, Boudhanath, etc.
D3: Transfer to the airport and fly to Lukla (2700m) (50mn). Easy trek to Phakding (2800m) (3h), passing by several rocks carved and painted with budist prays.
D4: Phakding-Namche Bazaar (3440m) (6h). We hike to Monjo entering Sagarmatha National Park (Everest) and then descend to Dudh valley, crossing the river by three suspended bridges. Far away we can see Everest (8848m) and Lhotse (8516m).
D5: Namche Bazaar, free day for altitude adaptation. This is a lively village, the most important in Solu Khumbu region. You can visit its monastery and climb to Syangboche.
D6: Namche Bazaar-Thyengboche (3860m) (5h30). We follow a trail along the river Imjas right bank, passing by Phunki and entering Thyengboche through the typical covered gate. Beautiful panorama over Imja valley, namely Lhotse and Ama Dablam.
D7: Thyengboche-Pangboche (3985m) (3h). We visit Thyengboche monastery and in the afternoon hike to Pangboche across a juniper forest. On our way we will see Debuche convent and its carved walls and religious flags.
D8: Pangboche-Dingboche (4413m) (5h). We enter the famous Khumbu valley and the magnificent panoramas over Ama Dablam (6856m) and Lhotse (8516m). Crossing yak caravans we continue among high grassland towards Dingboche, with its stupas, chortens and religious flags in the wind.
D9: Dingboche-Lobuche (4880m) (6h).
Trek to Tukla with a beautiful view over Pheriche
and Lobuche Khola rivers bed.
D10: We leave early to Gorakshep
(5100m) (3h) to climb Kala Pattar (5545m): tiring but
rewarding experience because we will enjoy a superb panorama
over the high glacier mountains, namely Everest (8848m),
Lhotse (8516m) and Nuptse (7855m).
We lodge at Gorakshep.
D11: Hike to Everest Base Camp, where the climbing teams attempting Everest and Lhotse station. Wonderful view of the immense ice fall more than 800m high.
D12: Lobuche-Pangboche (3985m) (5h). Trek through the valley passing by Pheriche.
D13: Pangboche-Khumjung (6h).
D14: Khumjung-Thame (5h30). Thame is a remote village on the caravan route to Tibet and has an inportant monastery.
D15: Thame-Monjo (2835m) (4h).
D16: Monjo-Lukla (5h).
D17: Flight to Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel, free afternoon.
D18 and 19: Free days in Kathmandu (these two free days are necessary to account for for the Lukla flight may be delayed due to adverse weather conditions).
D20: end of program.

Does not include: visa (USD 30.), airport tax (+/- USD 15), personal equipment, visits on free time, main meals in cities, tips, single room supplement, travel insurance.
Guiding: Nepalese guides speaking English.
Group: min 4 persons, max 15.
Luggage: Transported by porters and/or yaks during the trek, max 15 kg per person.
Program: Depending on weather conditions, the groups condition or other justifiable, the guide may alter the program.
Vaccines: None mandatory.
Equipment: Trekking boots, sleeping bag (3-4 seasons), waterproof gear, etc.
After your booking you will receive a Trip Information sheet which includes a detailed recommended equipment list.
Documentation: valid passport, the Nepal visa may
be obtained on arrival at the Kathmandu airport.
